La Verdad Introduces Together and Plenty
Mission and Vision: We are a supportive network where together we embrace reality while holding truth through hurt and instilling hope.
Together and Plenty Cancer Support Group are a set of groups led and facilitated by peers (current or post cancer diagnosed individuals) and clinically supported (Facilitators are supported and mentored by licensed mental health clinicians).
Together and Plenty Cancer Support Group is not group therapy, but it is therapeutic.
Together and Plenty Cancer Support Group is not mental health therapy, but participation can support mental health.
Together and Plenty Cancer Support Group is a support group where participants can engage, process, connect, teach and learn.
Together and Plenty Cancer Support Group are a subset covered under the umbrella of La Verdad Therapy, a mental health practice located in San Diego, CA that embraces truth as a platform for healing and honoring each individual’s journey.
Group members will have the opportunity to participate in 6 sessions (one session per month) and 6 workshops (one workshop per month). Each group is formatted as a hybrid closed group and will cap at 10 participants per group to enhance safety and promote a personal environment. Group is designed to encourage participation and processing with topics that include directives and prompts, while offering a safe space to share our individual narratives.
Facilitators
My name is Ana Cristal Valdez. Case Manager with a B.A. in organizational management. I’m a single momma of a beautiful baby boy, and a strong and brave cancer warrior. Daughter of migrating parents and a proud Hispanic. I’m a world traveler, a lover of education and knowledge. I have a passion for music of all genres. I’m a wild heart and enjoy adventure. Believer in knowing we have the power to create, in living in the present moment, being still, surrendering to God every minute of my day, and allowing Him to enlighten my world.
I am looking forward to connecting with single mommas, uplifting one another, and embracing our cancer process together.
My name is Ramon Camarillo Valdez
I have a passion for people and am currently pursuing a degree in interpersonal and organizational communication.
I am a Husband to my one and only Stephanie Camarillo. In my book, I am the best Uncle,Brother and Son. I am blessed to have a Mother and StepFather that have always looked out for me. Cancer (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia), challenged my life and through God’s strength and love I’m still standing.
I enjoy surfing, soccer, worshiping and Relentlessly pursuing wisdom and understanding by creating a diligent atmosphere around me with God.
I am elated to be part of this amazing group and ready to create a safe space to support one another through the process of life.

I am a woman who strives every day to learn from my mistakes in order to transmit life to my surroundings. I am a happy woman married to a strong man, a warrior and survivor of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I am a proud daughter of hard working
Hispanic parents who taught me to love unconditionally. I am a lover of new foods and meeting new places to form new adventures. Serving others and witnessing what God has done in my life is my passion.

Soy una mujer felizmente casada con un hombre fuerte, guerrero y vencedor de Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda. Soy una hija orgullosa de unos padres trabajadores que me enseñaron a amar sin condiciones. Soy amante de nuevas comidas y conocer nuevos lugares para formar nuevas aventuras. Servir a los demás y testificar de lo que Dios ha hecho en mi vida es mi pasión.
Your group includes:
- Tier 1: All groups, engagements, and workshops included for 6 month duration.
- PRICE: Donation based
- Tier 2: All groups, engagements, and workshops included plus 1-2 case management sessions within the 6 month duration of group.
- PRICE: Donation based plus $50 for one case management session or $80 for 2 case management sessions.
- Tier 3: All groups, engagements, and workshops included within the 6 month duration of group plus individual clinical therapy.
- PRICE: Donation based plus $100 for one 50-minute session with a licensed mental health clinical therapist.
